LAHORE (Dunya News) – Information Minister Pervez Rashid has said that those talking about revolution were trying to fail Zarb-e-Azb operation.
Addressing the media in Lahore, Rashid reiterated that PML-N had no link with the safe exit deal for Musharraf, adding that the party will not become part of any unconstitutional step.
He said Pervez Musharraf had himself rejected the claims made by PPP leader Gilani.
Referring to the statement of Shah Mahmood Qureshi, saying that he feared of another Model Town tragedy if the long march was stopped, Rashid questioned the PTI vice-chairman as to how he knows everything beforehand?
To a question regarding IDPs, he expressed the hope that soon they will return to their homes in North Waziristan after restoration of peace in there region. He said the government is committed to fulfill all the requirements of armed forces of the country.
Regarding the power load shedding, he said the sitting PML-N government is taking every possible step to address the issue and a number of solid measures have been taken in this direction.
To a question regarding cross border firing incident in Bajaur, the minister said Pakistan has launched a strong protest with the Afghan authorities.
He said that free and vibrant media is imperative for democracy.
Earlier, on Saturday, Rashid said that Imran Khan should not give an impression of any disaster on Independence Day.
He said the main ceremony of Independence Day will be held at D-Chowk in Islamabad and all the political leaders will be invited to attend it.
Information Minister Pervez Rashid has said all resources will be provided to the army to defeat the terrorists.
He said statutory cover has also been given to the armed forces to eradicate menace of terrorism.
He said those fanning misconceptions about the army are bound to fail in their designs.
