Anger on the streets of Buenos Aires after Argentina loses to Germany.

Thousands of football fans had gathered here to celebrate their team's performance in the world cup final.

But hope turned to bitter disappointment after their 1-0 defeat.

Skirmishes broke out between riot police and youths.

Police fired tear gas at the youths who threw rocks and tried to kick down shop fronts.
