Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan summoned an emergency session of PTI’s core committee tomorrow (Saturday) in order to deliberate on new strategy after reports of handing over the federal capital to the army surfaced, Dunya News reported.
What was widely seen as the move to stop PTI’s ‘long march’, the government came up with the decision to hand over Islamabad to the army for as many as three months, citing the security concerns.
Acting on the reports, Khan summoned party’s core committee session on Saturday evening at his residence in Bani Gala Islamabad. The meeting will review the government’s decision and will deliberate over the adjusted strategy.
Imran Khan will reportedly consult the members regarding ‘Azaadi March’ scheduled to take place on August 14.
