An all American Delta IV M+ (4,2) rocket successfully launched this evening, July 28th 2014 at 23:28 UTC, from Cape Canaveral in Florida carrying the first two of a planned four satellite constellation called the Air Force Space Command 4 (AFSPC-4) mission for the US Air Force. The satellites are reportedly to be used for visual monitoring of other satellites in geosynchronous orbit.
Launch coverage ended at payload fairing separation at the request of the customer.
