Katzenberg honored; Pratt, Saldana open NYSE

DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg was among those honored by U.S. President Barack Obama with the National Medal of Arts. In addition to Katzenberg, Grammy Award winning singer Linda Ronstadt was a recipient. The medal is the highest award given by the U.S. government to artists who have contributed to the cultural fabric of the country.

Ariana Grande has revealed that she is "out of touch" with her father. The 21-year old singer spoke to Seventeen magazine, saying that her relationship with her dad was the toughest hurdle she's ever had to jump. Grande said that she has, however, come to terms with it.

The cast of "Guardians of the Galaxy" rang the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange on Tuesday (July 29). The film's stars Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldana were on hand. The movie, expected to be one of the summer's biggest blockbusters, hits theaters this Friday (August 1).
