Springfield has two great new handguns for 2014 in the 1911 Range Officer and XDS 4.0. Both of these guns are chambered in 9mm. The Range Officer designed is for competitive shooters who don't want the recoil of a .45. The 4.0 from the popular XDS line comes a barrel lengthened to 4 inches. It comes with two different magazines — a 7+1 and a 9+1 — which give shooters different grip options.
