This Song was composed by Mayuram Vedanayagam Pillai, who wrote "Prathaba Mudaliyar Charithiram" , the first Tamil Novel. He was a Munsif in Mayavaram or Mayuram or Mayil Aadu Thurai or Mayiladuthurai. He is the forerunner of Tamil Compositions (Music, Play, Story and so on). Divine Singer Smt. D.K.P. has done full justice to the composition.
