Chini Mahal also known as Chinese Mahal, situated 13kms from Aurangabad is a blue tiled palace located within the Daulatabad fort.

Chini Mahal is a double storied building (15 mts x 5.80 mts x 10 mts). It was once inlaid with blue and yellow enameled,encaustic tiles. The palace was used as Royal prison. The upper floor is well ventilated and has two chambers, which can be reached a flight of steps, but the roof has fallen down. The palace once played very important role in the political history of Deccan. Abdul Hasan Tanasah the last and powerful ruler of the Golkonda was confined to the palace by Aurangjed after the reduction of Golkonda. Abdul Hasan was imprisoned here till death in 1700.
