A homage to the relentless courage and strength of mind of those who survived and of those who helped others survive the 2013 Uttarakhand tragedy - The song "Prakriti ki godh mein - Kal, Aaj aur Kal" highlights the ecological imbalance brought about by man in his quest for comfort and the need for him to co-exist with nature. Like yesterday, let tomorrow be. The delicate ecosystem of the Himalaya is well-known. The onus is on us to protect it and preserve it, as best as we humans can, for eons. Was this disaster a fore-warning from nature that while it can be pristine and calm, its wrath knows no bounds?

To elaborate on the musical aspects of the song - the rhythm and the vocal tune remains constant throughout the song, signifying the uniformity of existence of our planet. The first part which talks about Kal (Yesterday) is interlaced with soft and peaceful sounds of nature. The rumble of drums in the middle indicates a sense of the chaos that prevails "Today", while the soft violins at the end, signify hope for a better "Tomorrow". The lyrics pertaining to "Tomorrow" have been spoken by a 4-yr old kid as an oath - a baton hand-over from one generation to another, for perpetual preservation.

So we may learn and not forget: Prakriti ki godh mein - Kal, Aaj aur kal.
