British Royal Air Force Tornados touch down in Cyprus.

These jets are set to carry out surveillance operations for aid deliveries to refugees trapped on the mountains of northern Iraq.

Three aid consignments have now been dropped by the UK, and more are planned.

The UK's Ministry of Defence released this video of hundreds of Yazidis collecting emergency aid, such as water, solar lanterns and shelter kits.

Tens of thousands of Iraqis who don't follow Islam have fled their homes for these mountains.

They've been threatened with death by fighters from the militant group Islamic State if they don't abandon their faith.

The UN warns they need "life-saving assistance".

The Islamic State has stormed across much of northern Iraq, seizing more and more land, redrawing the regional border.
