Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Activision Anthology for the Game Boy Advance developed by Aspyr and published by Activision. Miss the days of joypads and woodgrain paneling? Well, this game is going to blow your mind like it’s 1979. Activision Anthology is a collection of about 60 of Activision’s classic—and not-so-classic—games for the Atari 2600. Hits are included, like Pitfall and River Raid, but the game also includes prototype and unreleased games that never made it into your shag-carpeted living room. Minor aesthetic adjustments were made to some games, like removing the Activision logo from the bottom of the screen, but for the most part, these games are virtually identical to their Atari versions. Activision Anthology includes single-player and local multiplayer play on the Game Boy Advance. This video review features video gameplay footage of Activision Anthology for the Game Boy Advance and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
