This video shows a how topographic maps and aerial photographs can be mixed into intermediate geovisualisations more or less reaslistic. The sliders allow the navigation through abstract and realistic representations. This demo is captured from Charlotte Hoarau's PhD work at COGIT lab, IGN France (see "Mixing, blending, merging or scrambling topographic maps and orthoimagery in geovisualizations?" by Hoarau et al 2013).
