Brazilian NGOs are accusuing Marina Silva, presidential candidate of the Brazilian Socialist Party (PSB), of being financed by agro-business interests that oppose indigenous rights as well as laws against environmental crimes and slave labor. Even though Silva was author of a bill that prohibited the use of GMOs in Brazil, during the presidential debate she said she supports bringing transgenics to the country. teleSUR
