It was a regular Kolkata League match between East Bengal and Southern Sameti but what followed after the match was just shocking. After refree sent off one of Southern Sameti's players, its coach hurled abuses at the referee and officials. Following the argument East Bengal officials attacked Sameti coach which resulted in the police resorting to lathicharge to calm down the situation.
