It was only aboard a Mexican Air Force plane that some finally began to relax.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) TOURIST, SILVI OTELO, SAYING:
"Do I feel safe at this moment? Yes, 'cause we are leaving. We're finally going where they will have water and electricity."
At least 26,000 foreign tourists and 4,000 Mexican tourists were in the region when the hurricane hit.
It's deemed to be one of the worst storms to hit the luxury retreats of Los Cabos.
