Paraguay currently invests 3.6% of GDP in education, the lowest in the region. The education commission within congress is pushing for the UNESCO-recommended 7% of GDP to be invested in education to help with teacher formation, improve infrastructure, lower drop-out rates, provide school lunches for everyone and to truly offer free education all around the country.
