Forgetting something on a plane is typically a very unpleasant, problematic experience. Unless you’ve landed at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport.
Dutch airline, KLM has launched a ‘lost and found’ program that involves an undeniably cute dog. The process is simple - you leave something behind on a plane and the pooch retrieves and then delivers it to you.
The service doesn’t just keep forgetful passengers happy; it also brightens the day of other travelers making their way through the airport, as they get to watch the pooch happily run around.
The beagle that is melting all the hearts is named Sherlock. The helpful canine’s trainer commented “We train for muscle strength, endurance and, of course, socialization. When you see the reactions of the passengers, that really is amazing."
The airline started the ‘lost and found’ service following a large number of comments on social media, involving items that were forgotten on airplanes.
Of course, dogs just like humans need a break from time to time. In the event that Sherlock is taking some time off from his duties, airline staffers will rely on seat numbers and contact information to send items back to passengers.
