KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain said that those who sacrificed everything for the sake of Pakistan are not being considered Pakistanis, Dunya News reported.

Addressing party workers and supporters in various cities through the video link, Altaf Hussain said that creating administrative units does not divide the country. He said that MQM will also stage sit-in demonstrations in support of democracy.

MQM chief said MQM workers’ houses were raided and the workers were termed “foreign agents”. He alleged that those who raided the MQM offices said that they will drown the workers into the sea.

He said those who sacrificed everything for the sake of Pakistan were never regarded as Pakistanis.

Altaf Hussain asked the ‘establishment’ to tell once and for all whether or not Muhajirs are equal citizens.

He said his party never relied on weaponry, adding that the day he decided they will no longer bear abuse would be the day when fight will begin.

MQM chief said that he doesn’t talk about splitting Sindh; “Sindh is motherland but I want to make it clear that the country doesn’t divide or split upon creation of administrative units”, he said.

“Why administrative units can’t be made of the eastern, western, southern and northern Sindh?”

Altaf Hussain said that the country endured martial laws but the feudal system did not end.

He said his party will also stage a sit-in protest which will be for the security of democracy. He said two parties have staged sit-in protest for fifty days but MQM will not be given permission to stage sit-in in Islamabad.

Altaf Hussain offered the workers a ‘minus-Altaf Hussain’ scenario in MQM party but the workers rejected it.
