This man says he's the leader of Islamist militant group Boko Haram and the Nigerian military's reports of his death are unfounded.

The video shows a man appears similar to one who's appeared in previous videos claiming to be Abubakar Shekau.

Reuters isn't able to independently verify the content of the footage from a social media website.

(SOUNDBITE)(Hausa) MAN CLAIMING TO BE BOKO HARAM LEADER ABUBAKAR SHEKAU SAYING:

"Here I am, alive, until the day Allah takes my breath away. Obama's desire or Francois Hollande's desire can't kill me. Neither can the will of Netanyahu or Bank Ki-moon, Queen Elizabeth and other infidels of the world kill me, much less the feeble Goodluck Jonathan."

Nigeria's military said last week a man posing as Shekau in several of the group's videos had been killed in clashes.

The military announced Shekau's death a year ago.

After that the man claiming to be Shekau in videos did appear different from previous ones.
