Venezuela was the scene of a massive outpouring of grief and demands for justice in the case of assassinated congressional deputy Robert Serra who, together with his companion Maria Herrera, were murdered in their home Wednesday night. Serra was the youngest legislator in Congress and was a leading activist in the United Socialist Party of Venezuela. He was reported to have been tortured before being murdered and authorities say the killing was rigorously planned and executed. Three days of national mourning have been declared.
