It's a relentless battle for the Syrian border town of Kobani.

Video from a social media website shows Kurdish fighters attempting to push back Islamic State militants, who have laid seige to the town for nearly four weeks.

But the Kurdish defense is proving costly. Explosions rock Kobani daily and the fight shows no signs of easing up.

Especially in the northern district, where on Monday, an Islamic State suicide bomber detonated a truck laden with explosives.

And it's all taking place within view of Turkish tanks at the frontier...

Turkey has refused to intervene...and U.S.-led air strikes have so far failed to halt the militants' advance.

Kurdish forces inside Kobani say if they don't get help, Kobani will fall.
