United States officials recently confirmed that Vice President Joe Biden's son was discharged from the Navy Reserve following a test showing cocaine was in his system.

44-year-old Hunter Biden failed the drug test after reporting to his unit at the Navy Public Affairs Support Element East in Norfolk, Virginia.
Hunter has released a statement noting “It was the honor of my life to serve in the U.S. Navy, and I deeply regret and am embarrassed that my actions led to my administrative discharge. I respect the Navy's decision.”
He also made it known he is moving forward in his life with the support of his family.
In May of last year, he was commissioned as an ensign and assigned as a public affairs officer.
Hunter failed the drug test about a month later and was officially discharged in February.
Hunter, presently an attorney, works as a managing partner for an investment firm.
His older brother, Beau is Delaware's Attorney General and a major in the state’s Army National Guard.
