Joel Edgerton hit the red carpet for the Los Angeles film premiere of "Felony."

The thriller follows three detectives who become entangled in a hit-and-run crime.

Edgerton's character accidentally hits a boy while drunk driving and lies to protect himself.

One detective tries to bury the truth while another attempts to uncover it.

Edgerton, who previously starred in "Zero Dark Thirty" and "The Great Gatsby" also wrote the screenplay for "Felony" and hopes to evoke a real-life situation in which right and wrong are not easily defined.
