A 22 year-old man accidentally set himself on fire as was preparing his hookah in a nearby basement.

CCTV footage from the street shows the man, still smouldering, walking deliriously and seeking medical attention. FDNY is guessing that the chemicals he was using, acetone and coconut oil, ignited from a pilot light from a water heater.

The man suffered serious burns and is in critical condition at Cornell Hospital's burn unit.
