Dozens of anti-occupy protesters attempted to clear out pro-democracy protesters from central Hong Kong on Wednesday.
Also pro-democracy protesters marched to the home of Hong Kong’s leader Leung Chun-Ying on Wednesday in response to his comment that universal suffrage was impossible, partly because the city’s large population of poor and working class citizens would end up with a dominant voice in politics.
