A poem written is like a Scud.
Will it soar like a bird, or flop like a dud?
Will it strike a nerve, and touch a heart,
And blow some searching soul apart?
Will it hit the target, or miss the mark?
Will it conflagrate or merely spark?
Will it hit dead center, left or right?
Will it cause world peace or inflame a fight?
Can you lesson the effect of a poem or a missile?
