Floating in the air we breathe
Unseen but there for sure
A cocktail full of chemicals
To kill before they cure
We help the mix with aerosols
To freshen, shine and paint
And wonder why we feel so ill
Or just a little faint
The residue from things we make
From factories flow to rivers
Diluted in our reservoirs
To pass through all our livers
Our bodies act like filters
Slowly filling up with waste
It’s even in the food we eat
Put there to suit our taste
Before we had these things today
We had much less pollution
So if we banned them all right now
Could that be our solution?
