everybody knew heard
about stone markers

children studied
earthquakes tsunamis
warnings

in honoured school

villagers guided
visitors to markers
wise warnings

near their homes

in Aneyoshi
when the tsunami
comes mothers

take their children
from honoured school
whole village climbs

to higher grounds
flees risk earthquakes
flees to safe grounds
