I think it’s pretty fair to say that Dev Hynes and Blood Orange‘s late-night debut has been a long time coming. Well, the lo-fi pop gawds have answered some prayers, in that their debut landed last night on Jimmy Kimmel and it was the spectacle we had all hoped it would be, fortified with tight choreography and Hynes’ patented theatrics. Girlfriend and helping vocal hand Samantha Urbani assisted on the mic while Hynes and the crew dazzled a crowd that might not have even known who he was. Rest assured, they left that LA studio with a damn good idea.
