Midnights Voice - Departing Memories

I watched you stitch love to your heart
Run patch after patch in the dark

Ah! Child, you cookie jarred your dreams
Englished leathered box of schemes

Then you roped the morning sun
Road it bareback just for fun

Oh! My, my sweet memories

You found muddy water tumbling in
Heard the tree fall in the din

Then swam across the frozen lakes
Mustangs charged, you didn't break

Used the moon to hold your head
As shooting stars fell like molten lead

Oh! My, sweet memories

Fare thee well now
Time struggles for words near the end

Fare thee well now
Hand held coffin, you come nailing in

Silver spikes with rusty ends
Come pounding down as they are driven in

Oh! My, my sweet memories
