Strong and mighty
Bowing in the wind
Rooted deep and true
To its origins
Stands above them all
Sees further than the rest
Protection from storms
Safest place to nest
Food for the hungry
Heat for the cold
Heart so big
No two arms could hold
Carries mankind in
Great vessels of dreams
In their ends a guardian
Of the bodies they leave
Shade on my walk
Comfort leaned against
Calls me to climb higher
Drunk in its fragrance
