Virgin Galactic resumes work after crash

Work has resumed at Virgin Galactic's assembly hanager in California's Mojave Desert.

Employees have returned to the task of building the company's second space plane -- just days after the first test vehicle crashed, killing one of the pilots.

Virgin Galactic CEO George Whiteside says the team members remain dedicated to their goal of building a plane that can take passengers into space.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) GEORGE WHITESIDES, VIRGIN GALACTIC CEO, SAYING:

"We're easing people back into work. But, for many people here I think work is therapeutic and gives them something that they care passionately about. The team has been working hard on serial number 2. They are all eager to understand what happened and to move forward."

He said the second space craft is about two-thirds complete and could be ready for testing soon.
