One beautiful Saturday in August
When the leaves began to drop
From out in the lake came a cruiser
To anchor at Buckhorn Dock His smile was as broad as the Ocean
His chest was bare and brown
His eyes sparkled like diamonds
His friends he had found His pleasure was boating at Buckhorn
At noon day or at dark
A tragedy over took him
At fifteen till nine o'clock To show his love and affection
To his brother who had died
He placed One Thousand Roses
In a blanket by his side.
