These once lived a monster under my bed.
I thought i heard voices, mum said ''from my head''
I awoke one time in the middle of the night.
Hoping this monster would not come to sight.

I got up another night and opened the closet door.
The monster jumped out and lay on the floor.
I yelled and i screamed, yelled and screamed.
''Get out of here you stupid fiend! ! ! ''

But then one day my grampa came at noon.
Mum said '' he had to stay in my room''.
At first I was furious and very very mad.
But my mum told me ''Dont be sad''.

I went to bed and later rubbed my eyes.
I thought about breakfast eating mince pies.
Finally my eyes began to close.
But woke to snoring out of his nose.

In grampas's sleep he held my hand.
He dreamed about his wife, my Nan.
Grampa drolled and he snored, drooled and he snored.
The monster came out and pleeded ''No More! ! ! ''

In the morning, I looked under my bed
But all i found was my teddy bear, Ned.
I went up to my Grampa, who was holding his mug.
I sat down beside him and gave him a hug.
