Yet another city left behind.
And I wonder if it still exists,
If the city hall clock strikes midnight,
Towers looming up, wrapped in the mists.

Are the streets deserted as they were
When they held the echo of my steps?
The canals still seeking to entrance
With what seemed unfathomable depths?

Yes, it's all the same. Or so they say.
But I've smuggled one bit - no big deal.
It's that bridge behind the palace wall
With a once-upon-a-time-like feel.
