Cool sheets against a sun-burn
remind you of the place you used to know.
Count back to the years you spent
lying beneath a horizon window.

Let the wind whisper in your ear,
dream of the ocean in the night.
The breeze that moves across your skin,
is the only lover that felt this right.

Before anguish and sorrow—
betrayals and heartbreaks,
there was the sea and the sun—
the tide and the wakes.

Dive into the breaking wave,
feel the power in these veins;
it runs like blood sustaining a life
—stained with pain.

Remember the game you played
when you were just nine,
you thought the Ocean
was an Eluder of Time.

Safe against the sequin'd shore
the last of the lovers have gone.
How could you've known
—this was the answer all along?

The world took a piece
of your every part.
Now you want them back
and you fine'ly know the place to start.

Sitting on the moonlit sand,
the wind envelopes your nakedness
the perfect lover it takes you in its arms
and carries you across an oceanic bliss....
