Ivy Christou - A tale of my castle

Tears dedicated to the Knight
Who with his stainless-steal sword
Fought once more against my castle.
He had no remorse for the damages,
The blood on the sword was washed off
He sat on a ladder to watch
the beautiful sunset
but the beauty was down here
with the people.

The friends inside rushed to mend
The castle’s walls, they were my dignity.
I was cold and wet from the rain and wind
But he turned away his head
and remained quiet to enjoy the silence,
the city inside was now speechless.

His achievement was put on the wall,
His entrance was forbidden including the
acceptance of his Wooden-Horse-shaped apologies.

The castle will survive,
Beautiful as ever it will wait
For a Prince, not a knight.
It will remember the tears
but future must leave them behind
It will accept the loss
but hold the walls up high..
