It loomed, harangued in the skies,
In his vast mirrors cast,
He wore a mask of jewelled eyes,
That shone an odd revenge lifelast.

A transfixed stare at a Clockwork Christ,
By the baneful sanctuary's sage,
Over lengthening scars of nothing and age,
That flipped from page to page.

In his world, he is cold, outlawed,
No one knows his troubles but God.
Whipped relentlessly with an arctic tongue,
Over and over, the same old song.

The nocturne of the night
The last night of life,
He held the beast in his heart,
The skies darken
With a last flash of light,
The oceans rent apart.

He cried out to God,
Roared,
Like a dying beast,
A muffled noise
Soon deceased.

I went into his room,
His haunting tomb.
And I dove back to bed,
My brother was dead.
