Standing on the lip of a two metre drop
Standing on the kick with his trucks in the air
Standing on his youth and held by his fear
If he tips just a bit he will dropp like a rock.

Those fancy shoes, that mother’s love
Those you beaut high zoot wheels and all
Must be enough to do the job
But what’s it take to take the drop.

The noise the scrape the rolling roar
Of others comes and goes ignored
Hypnotic concentration peaks
And then … the moment of release.

He drops, he flies, he feels the rush
And hypersensitive control
Adrenal lightness scrotum tightness
Autopilot on a roll

He rolls out and he rolls and rolls
He rolls out and he rolls …

Until momentum dissipated
Leaves him limp a rag doll standing
Stretched and tested then regathered
“That was kinda fun, ” he thought

So now the new the future too
Have made a choice for guess and trust.
There is no need to know it all
You only need to know enough.
