Lost



White wings flash in a lost dream
Red eyes glow in a distant nightmare
A song floats past deaf ears
Dancing flits across paralyzed feet
The mind is bound by chains
Bound by hatred
By envy
By greed
By lust
By death
These chains bind us tighter then tighter
We no longer move to dance
We no longer have the voice to sing
No fear to remember those distant eyes
No hope to grasp those flying wings
We are lost
Yet we are found
Oh give us back our sanity
Our pure hope lost
The fear that makes us strong
Give us back our humanity
I cannot see how we lost it
Where did it go
Nevermore to live in happiness
Lost in our own selves
Have we truly lost all value for life
We are humans lost
Bound by our own vanity, hate, and greed
We lost
Lost

Forever more to be lost
When can we go back to the old ways
The days long past
The happiness that has faded
When can we go back
When we are no longer lost
But forever we are
Forever we are lost
