When the wind whispers 'what might have been',
And brings forth your face from the past,
I can forget thoughts of anything else on my mind,
But the love that I hoped would last,
The saddest part is my love still grows,
Don't remember what caused us to part,
It seems we ended on friendly terms,
You let go of all but my heart,
The necklace you gave me always round my neck,
Frames of crystal and silver cases you gave,
Constant reminders scattered all around my room,
But it was the love that I so wanted to save,
I still have your voice archived in my phone,
A lonesome sound brings tears as it replays,
You have moved on but I'm still alone,
How I did love thee, still counting the ways,
