I see you lying next to me in the dark room
With the lights out, it's a little less dangerous
You're fearing what I'm about to do next
Don't be afraid.

Outside the window and across the street,
Candle lights are lit illustrating a delusion fantasy
Inside the window in this room
A stem of rose in the vase by the window is the only romance discernible
Apart from the romance between us that's fading into darkness

You get up off the floor and look beyond the solitary rose, across the street.
Do you believe in the fantasy?
Tears run down your face watching the couple enjoy a romantic night
And you still have that fake smile that you'd never let off
Your tears hit the floor creating a fantasy before fading
Like ashes of burning paper dancing in the wind one last time before breaking to pieces.

Moonlight covered with clouds let the rain fall
Freezing winter rain strikes the city, wiping out the delusion fantasy.
Your sitting on the floor against the wall
Still believing in the illusory fantasy
You're still smiling like you always have, I don't know if you're happy
Maybe tonight we can forget about it all
It could be just like heaven
