Etched


She was 4 years old
and the world before her
A precious little girl
till her world took a detour

She had those big blue eyes
like a 'Precious Moment' doll
And a bubbly personality
that was loved by all

When I was expecting my daughter
she carried the name I wanted
I couldn't bring myself to use it
Disheartened and daunted

Every funeral I attend now
brings back haunting memories
I see her face in every picture
The face that used to be
