Quiet as a mouse
Not a single sound in the house
My eyes did open to find
It was Christmas Morn
I laid their on my pillow
Thinking the children were not awake
Then I recalled….All grown and
Life’s of their own
How the memories flooded my soul
The voices that called
Mommy wake up its Christmas day!
How they would laugh and play
Christmas wrapping and pretty bows
All across the front room floor
Happy faces and glows all about
Now are silent memories I hold in my heart
