I trace my fingers
over your body’s cold contours
embossed on the vacant space of
wrinkled white sheets
where you had slept, last night!
I close my eyes,
and dream of
the jasmine-scented erotic dreams
where my butterfly-kisses flutter
caressing you from head-to-toe
as you try to muffle
your frenzied screams of pleasure!
Half asleep,
I roll and turn to the other side of bed,
touching the smudged marks
of your ruby-red lipstick
blushing in the morning hues of dawn,
after you are gone!
In a state of drowsiness,
I toy with the broken strands
that you have left behind
from your loosely knotted hair
lie on the covers beside me, limping
like couple of black placid threads!
I wake up from the
depths of my erotic slumber
and feel the vacuum inside me.
Lonely lips long for your crimson kisses and
amorous arms ache for your enchanting embrace!
I cry your name aloud -
but you fade into
mist of the distant past!
Emotions engulf me and hurt hugs me,
pain peeps out and solitude seeps in,
echoes of emptiness stab my spirit!
Look – suggestive
there is a heart-shaped scar
in my soul…
