my heart, the broken mess lying at my feet on the floor, peice by peice, is being picked up and put back together, being stitched together with the threads of a new love, gathering up my shaky battered heart and i give it to you, praying that it doesnt get broken, knowing that if it does, it will be the end of the pitiful mess, so i ask you to take it and keep it, 'i always end up getting it broken' is all i say as i hand it over, knowing you will take better care of it than i ever have.
