Tracing 11 years back
Being just 5 years old
Fading memories, hard to track
I remember a story often told
My daddy went away
He said he couldn’t stay
But he promised it wasn’t good-bye
He promised, but he lied.
My school was filled on father’s day
Everyone came with their dad
That day, everyone stared at me
As I went all alone
My teenage years are troubled
I need guidance, I need you
To feel secure and to walk free
I need you, dearest daddy
Have you forgotten, papa…
About this child that is yours?
Ever kissed me goodnight?
You forgot me, how could you?
Throughout this tale, I suffer
Wondering what I did wrong
To be brought up without a father
The feelings, terrible to explain
I love you ever so much
But you are a liar in my mind
You left me in this disgraceful world
Forgetting your duties, forgetting me
A mere miracle of bringing a child
Into this atrocious beautiful world
Might make you a father by name, by law
But a daddy, you become not!
