If we would'nt have grabbed the childs hand-
to drag it our way
If we would have gone along with the child
in its own way-
We could have reached the child's world

With poetry in its speech
With music in its voice
With an inquisitive look-
which has a rare combination of love and mischief
With a stumbling walk-
which knows its way though
The child does'nt seem to be ignorant at all.

If only we would'nt have used our experience-
and our so called knowledge-
to grab the childs hand to drag it our way-
If only we would have ventured to go the childs way
We could have reached the 'child's world'
