Without faith in what the Son has given me
Righteousness through His payment of my sins
I am in a fog of despair.

For what makes a good future
That is, goodness, strength and eternal purpose in my spirit...
It is not there.

All I have left then, is hopelessness, and hopelessness is
What I hold
Till my mind runs in a rut; my heart grows in unfeeling cold.

I remain that way until, I once again believe
In the God of light, warmth, pure love
Who will into His arms receive.--

One who has forgotten her unfailing Father
One who thought that after this, why would He bother?
