'Quest' by David Hart

Empyrean,
That touch of kismet
Floating in abeyance
Elusively hovering
Forever on high
Reservedly touching down upon
We poor earthly dwellers, like a
Fickle butterfly.

Endlessly, with eyes glistening
Dawn beholds the melismatic beauty
Of the day.
Forever upon forevers
A lubricious sun birls in dalliance
Dancing
Effortlessly within a
Coy protean sky

Patiently we bide
Biding dearly in providence,
Enduring an endearing patience
Like a one-eyed man
In the kingdom of the blind.

For the evers and the nevers
Dawn winks slyly and embraces
Serenely
Another princely day.
E're molten, the searing sun
Doth condone the fain
Slaked day.

Ever to the fore
One awaits requital
That touch of the butterfly
One patiently waits
For the delitescent demarche of the
Aleatoric butterfly.
